The course is run by me, Peter Boland, although we may have some guest speakers along the way. Two of the four Thursdays are devoted to red, two to white and bubbly. Each night starts at 8pm and runs to 10pm, with about an hour or less of talking and an hour or more of tasting. We get to taste between 6-8 wines each night, sometimes more if time allows....
One of our students from the spring course said ‘the beginner wine classes were amazing'. Another said ‘Thanks for the great 4 week wine course; sad to see it finish tonight! Learned lots and tasted some just great wines!' We intend to keep that standard up this time around.

Our first big Food & Wine night of the year happens this Tuesday, 14th September to mark National Organic Week. It happens at 8 Bar & Restaurant on the Docks in Galway and starts at 8pm, with a jazz band kicking off at 9.30pm to round off the night.
