And then there's the World Cup starting tomorrow and running until the 11th of July (that's the bit of the Good News that depends on your perspective.......).
So to keep the Good News ball rolling, here are three deals that will run at Cases Wine Warehouse until the end of June. We've chosen these three because they suit good weather very well and because they are great wines, already very popular at Cases. That last bit often confuses new customers who are used to seeing the dodgy stuff on sale, but we love these wines and we want to spread the word:
La Farra Prosecco and La Farra Rosé reduced to a flat price of €9.95 (that's 29% off our Sampler Bottle price). Top-class Italian bubbly. This will be of particular interest to anyone planning a wedding in the next few months or anyone who loves FUN).
La Multa Old Vine Tempranillo, Calatayud, Spain 2008, reduced by €1.00 per bottle. So the mixed case price is down from €9.45 to €8.45 (11% reduction). "Hearty and ripe, with some tannins to even things out, this will keep any large dinner party going for hours. Best with white and red meats." John Wilson, Irish Times, 26th September 2009.
Epicuro Pinot Grigio, Umbria, Italy 2009, reduced by €1.00 per bottle. So the mixed case price is down from €9.95 to €8.95 (9% reduction). Even at its regular price, Epicuro punches way above its weight, well ahead of everyday Pinot Grigios. Full of exotic fruits; peach and apricot mingle with a vibrant zesty citrus twist.
And then there's our latest mixed case of beers. The World Cup Case contains beers from 6 participating countries (Australia, England, Mexico, Slovakia, Spain and the United States). Perfect for settling in to a marathon match-watching session with mates of diverse tastes, this case contains 24 great bottles for only €39.95.
Finally, a bit of bad news - for various and completely coincidental reasons, the rest of the Food & Wine Nights we had planned for later in June have been put back to this Autumn. More about them anon, but in the meantime, keep an eye out for some other great events coming up!
Enjoy the weekend,
Peter
