POST FIRE DATES AT CASES
Hi there!

Sincere thanks to all our customers, suppliers and friends for all the good wishes and offers of help and support we've received since the fire here at Riverside Commercial Estate on Saturday night. Thanks to the great work of the Fire Service, Cases was saved and we're open and up and running again today. My immediate thoughts are with my neighbours here at Riverside, some of whom suffered severe damage on Saturday night, as they work to get their businesses up and running again.

Well even before Saturday night, 2011 was belting away at an almighty pace so we'd better get our upcoming events down in print before they pass us by. We've already finished our Spring Wine Course and it was a real buzz talking wine and food with such an enthusiastic bunch!

We have a busy schedule over the next few months so here are our confirmed events in chronological order:

This Thursday 17th March, St Patrick's Day: We're open all day, midday to 6pm, with 20% OFF the Domaine Des Anges Irish-made wines to mark the National Holiday. Plus a special one-off on Le Tricolore Cotes de Ventoux at a special deal price of €8.95 (normally €12.95). A blend of Syrah and Grenache from the Rhône Valley, this is a big full-on accompaniment to and St Patrick's Weekend red meats.

Friday 25th March: We'll be doing a Prosecco sampling at the Novia D'Art Wedding Fashion Show, which is on at 7.30pm at Belladonna Bridal in Liosban Business Park - contact Belladonna for an invitation at 091-755 139.

Sunday 27th March: we're closed all day. This is highly unusual. We're normally open midday to 6pm on Sundays. But today, after a hectic and fantastic first 4 years, we're taking time out to plan for the next few years. We're open on Saturday all day and back open on Monday.

Tuesday 29th March: Our first Food & Wine Night of 2011 is at Galway's legendary casual food HQ, Fat Freddy's on Quay Street. Full details to follow.

Weds 6th April: Food & Wine Night at The Townhouse Dining Room on Quay Lane. Fantastic new menu in one of Galway's latest great eateries. Details to follow.

Sunday 10th April: We'll be running a FREE 1 hour course on how to taste wines! This is something new for us. Of course you know how to drink wines, but what about breaking it down and deciding why you like or dislike a wine. If you can crack this, you can choose wines with more confidence. Give it a go for an hour on a quiet Sunday afternoon and see if it doesn't help! Starts at 4pm and spittoons will be provided to make sure you can drive home if necessary.

Friday 1st July 2011: Our Annual Wine BBQ with all proceeds going to Console. Details to follow.

And finally, watch out as we announce more dates over the next few months.

Kind regards,

Peter
