Well obviously January isn't anything like December when it comes to wine consumption, but we've been very busy this month at Cases Wine Warehouse in lots of other ways. Here are a few:

WINE CLASSES - just putting the finishing touches to the notes for our Spring Wine Course, which starts on Thursday of next week, the 3rd February, and runs for 4 weeks. Starting at 8pm nightly, 2 hours per night, €80 for the whole 4 weeks, including all the wines tasted. The objective is that you should be able to confidently order from a restaurant menu, or browse any wine shop or supermarket aisle for a lovely bottle after the 4 weeks. Call or email us if you want one of the last few spaces and give your wine knowledge a great kick-start.

FEBRUARY SALE - we're also putting the final touches to our annual February Sale, which also starts on next Thursday, 3rd! With great deals across the store. Details to follow next week.

NEW WINES - we spent a good deal of January meeting new suppliers and tasting some fantastic new wines. Watch out for them in-store as we introduce them over February and March. Or ‘Fan' us on Facebook at ‘cases wine' to get more detailed news on new wines, press reviews etc.

AWARDS AND REVIEWS - As many of you already know, we were made 2011 Irish National Wine Warehouse of the Year by the Sunday Business Post again in late December. If you don't, then fear not, for you are in good hands.'

POTHOLES - the ice and snow of December made the Grand Canyon pothole at the entrance to our home at Riverside Commercial Estate even grander. But it has now been properly filled. So you can visit us without fear of disappearing into the hole or losing a wheel!

FOOD & WINE NIGHTS - we're putting the finishing touches to our Food & Wine Night schedule for spring/summer 2011. Watch this space!
