Rated in the top 20 Champagne houses by Robert Parker, Charbaut produces excellent quality champagne which delivers excellent value against its bigger, more famous neighbours. This is a ros� de cuvaison, which means the grapes soak with their skins for about 36 hours at the start of the fermentation. The soaking technique is not common and requires a great deal of skill.
